door kid on the block,Rahul is already 6 years old. And guess what?? So is the
IPL!! In these six years, Team India has seen it all (World Champions, Test
Ranking 1 to getting whitewashed completely overseas) and so has the IPL (from
all the entertainment provided to its fans to the criticism of the players for
choosing lucrative franchisee offers over national fame).
The excitement is quite palpable, and why not – it is the Indian Premier
League! For a diehard fan like me, it is a source of relief. To be assured of a
cricket match every evening, a chance to behold our stars in action day after
day, and the thrill and the ‘edge-of-the-seat’ moments are just a daily chore
for the next two months. It consumes us to the point that by the time the IPL
is over, we are sure to feel its void.
Well for some involved its money or fame, but for me its the passion for
the game.
