IPL Team Preview - 5) Royal Challengers Bangalore

They have the glamour, they have the stars, they have the chicks, they have the drinks. To add to all this, they have a few big hitters who could really smash the ball. Ironically, RCB have failed and fallen apart when it matters the most. Once again, they go into this IPL is one of most destructive teams to look out for.

The Indian Talent – The “Kohli” Factor & Fast bowlers Plenty
They have the ever consistent Virat Kohli, who is the generation next of India. He has also been appointed their captain. S Tiwary who had a forgettable IPL last season would be looking to make amends and change his fortune this time round. Out of form & action, Zaheer Khan would be looking for a good IPL to see him back in the Indian colours. R Vinaykumar, P Singh, J Unadkat, H Patel, RP Singh are plenty of options for the Indian fast bowlers slot. M Kartik is valuable addition to their spin department.

The Overseas Talent –  Big names, Bigger names, Biggest Hits
They have the dangerous “C Gayle” who could really storm any opposition.  He came in is a replacement player for them, but is now irreplaceable. T Dilshan & AB De Villiers are both in good form and are well accomplished players for the country. The duo of Muralidharan &Vettori means they have the most experienced spinners in the world. The addition of M Henriques & D Christian was to address the lack of an allrounder in their ranks.

Injury Concerns & Srilanka Impact – No injury concerns as such. Dilshan & Murali are set to miss Chennai games. Adequate replacements available.

Likely XI – 1) C Gayle, 2) T Dilshan, 3) V Kohli, 4) AB Devilliers, 5)  S Tiwary, 6) M Agarwal, 7) M Henriques / D Christian / D Vettori / M Murlidharan, 8) M Kartik, 9) Z Khan, 10) R Vinaykumar, 11) RP Singh / P Singh / J Unadkat/ H Patel
